2018 Shenandoah Tough

A happy Fourth of July, everyone. We are 70 days out from the start of the Shenandoah Tough. Thank you for being part of what is going to be an amazing adventure through the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. In the theme of the past 5 years at the Cowboy Tough, we are making sure you have a great experience as you trek, bike, paddle and navigate along the 250 mile course we have planned for you...this time southern style in Virginia.

All the information you need to know about the race can be found in the racer guide here. As we make any updates or changes, they will be highlighted in green text.

All race information is published and will be updated as necessary on the event web page at www.shenandoahtough.com. This web site contains all official information related to the race before, during, and after. We also post information on Facebook, so be sure to follow us. If you have any specific questions, please post them to the Facebook event here, so other can benefit from the shared communication.

Please also send your team bio (500 total words or less) along with team or individual pictures and/or links to your team Facebook page/website to Margo at margo@adventureenablers.com, so we can build out a comprehensive team bio page.

We are currently pre-running sections of the course, working through final logistics, setting parts of the course, coordinating with volunteers, meeting sponsors, and conducting a whole host of other activities in preparation for the race. Keep an eye on Facebook during this time. We may be posting some insider information…

Accommodations and evening meals on the night before race start--9/12--and last day of the race--9/16--at Shrine Mont Retreat and Conference Center (https://shrinemont.com/) are included with the race registration fee. Discounted rates for early arrival, family members, and friend are as follows: $76 per night person double occupancy (plus tax) $100 per night per person single occupancy (plus tax), or $52 per night per person in the bunkhouse (plus tax) These all include three meals per day. A la carte meals are breakfast for $10 and lunch and supper for $14 each (plus tax and gratuity). Call Shrine Mont directly with questions and to reserve at 504-856-2141. The grounds at Shrine Mont serve as race headquarters, check-in area, pre-race brief location, staging of equipment before the race begins, location of meals, and the start and finish line.
